The director could use the £500 to buy a
more expensive laptop that would work better on the company’s WI-FI connection.
He could also buy a Mobile phone that is a 3G (You can get internet anywhere)
to use for the business so he can check his emails and can also make sure that
every phone call can come direct to his phone where ever he is. He could also download an app on his smartphone which gives directions to the delivery address. This will help
the business because he will get more work and more money will come through
because of all the modern technology that they have, they will also get their emails through quicker, and phone calls will be a lot clearer and will be able
to find things out about anything a lot quicker and easier. They also need a GPS which they can feed in the delivery address and get clear directions which speeds up delivery times because they are not looking at maps.

When
the photographer upgrades his laptop, he can send a picture through an
attachment to the news desk from a home broadband or his Smartphone from
anywhere if he gets a contract. He will then be able to also take emails and
other things that are important. When at home a photographer can send his pictures using an attachment to an email using his home WI-FI or something, or on a location the photographer can send his pictures by creating his own mobile hotspot.

Protocols
3g: 3g is where you can connect to an internet server when
you are not connected to wif-fi, eg. You are outside in the park and you want
to check something on the internet, you can check it without connecting to a
home internet server. (WI-FI).
4g: Only some phones can connect to 4g in certain areas
because it is an upgrade to 3g but it is still being worked on to make it a lot
better than the 3g, in some places you can’t connect to 4g because they haven’t
got network where they are so therefore 4g won’t work in some areas but will
work in others.
Bluetooth: Bluetooth is a connection where you can send
music and pictures and other stuff to another person’s phone for free but you
need to be paired to their phone and you also need to be really close to the
person you are sending your item.
WI-FI: You can connect to a home internet connection but you
need to have their permission and there internet code. Also you need to be a
certain distance to it. You could go quite far away until it disconnects from
your phone, Laptop, Tablet ect. It is good because you can go on the internet
for free but only if you are in the persons house that you are connected to, or
just outside if their WI-FI connection is strong enough.

Unit 1 D1
To make a secure password you
will need to put either numbers or fancy words, therefore nobody can get into
you’re your account a view any pieces of your work. Some people might use
passwords with there middle name on surname at the beginning or they can place
it in a different order. Ect…………..
‘johnhillerypeter98’.
That is an example because my
name is Peter John Hillery and you could put it in a different format. Also to
make sure that nobody goes onto your work and either steels it or make changes
to it you can put in on ‘Privacy’ or put someone as an author which means that
only they can view your work. But it needs to be someone that you trust.

Some of the
common safety issues with using Blog sites are that anybody can read and copy
your work produced and you can get viruses, and if you have Norton security it
will protect you from viruses. Another problem is that people can email you
with a virus which can cause problems for your computer. You can also limit the people who can
view your blog by only adding people you know and not because someone else
knows them. And also to keep your blog site safe you will need to make a unique password or email log in that nobody else would know, and this will help because therefore some random person cant log in to your computer and pretend to be you.

Some of the
threats and risks that are likely to arise using an ICT based communication
with a large organisation is that, you might get hacked or Scammed, the
computers might break and then you won’t be able to use the computers until
they are fixed so it would slow you down on your work, you might lose
connection to the internet so therefore you can’t go online and check emails or
use the web. If your computer stops working then it would cost lots of money to
get it fixed and it might take a few hours so therefore there will be no work
so then everyone that works for you will get no money. These are some other
risks likely to happen, when you upload music or PowerPoint presentations they
might have a virus attached to them or they might be a scam which can break
your computer. Another advantage is that you also dont need to pay for postpage so therefore it is easier to speak to people online.
